Men's brown is going out, when is your McCoy coming?
Dear McBacksters,
Finish/Shipping Lineup:
SHIPPED Men's Brown (single jackets, including w/extensions, duffles, etc)
Men's Black (singles, black/brown combos, extensions, duffles, etc.)
All Women's (singles, black/slate combos, his/hers, extensions, duffles, etc)
I am hesitant to give a new ETA. Every time I ask the factory to give me a concrete delivery date, they give me what seem to be supercali-optimistic timelines that get pushed, and pushed back again.
As much as I want to jsut give you a date, I better just say they are being worked on and we are getting closer every day (and night.) Follow our instagram stories @tobaccomotorwearco for the most recent news. As batches get closer to being finished I will give more concrete ETA's.
I love the encouraging comments many of you have left. BUT, i'm not satisfied with our performance we should have had our supply chain worked out and tested before launching. We will do better in the future. Even now we are working with manufacturers to speed up future production runs.
The good news: Quality is our first priority.
Some backers are already getting their brown jackets, and the first reviews are coming in!
Our first reviews are in!
Introducing Journeymen Canvas Tobaccos!
Way back when, Tobaccos were available in Sand Canvas, and life was good. Every now and then pictures of these extra-bad-arse Tobaccos will surface and our inbox will be flooded by many of you asking us to bring them back. Well, we've gone the extra mile and created two protective canvas riding jeans in a brand new, workwear-inspired, style. We hope you like.
THIS IS NOT A PRE-ORDER ITEM
Journeymen's are in stock and ready to ship. We have special launch pricing available to a limited number of early customers, so if you want to get one of those first pairs, check out the Journeymen here!
Thanks all of you for supporting Tobacco in everything we do.
Ride Every Day,
Dave

Why don't I have my EFFING McCoy?
Hey Tobacksteroids,
Now is the time you slap your own faces and shake your fist in the direction of L.A. because, and I don't take this lightly at all, some of the jackets won't be finished by March 31st, in fact, most will be finished and go out in April now.
WHY???? We don't own the factory making the Jackets, and while we oversee the quality, we can't control some elements of production. They did say we were going to deliver all the jackets by the end of March, multiple times, but they were unable to contract enough skilled operators to hit that date. As of now all jackets are being made by 6-8 craftsmen. Which, is actually amazing to watch. Unfortunately, as I am told, the jacket has proven more complicated and they have fewer sewers to do it, therefore, we are delayed.
Like I said, we are there keeping an eye on quality and have encouraged them to add sewing machine operators when quality help becomes available.
What the hell are we going to do about it? As previously stated, 923 jackets are under construction. I instructed the factory to pull out the 761 for all pre-orders and finish those first, rather than finishing the whole batch at once. We will also be sending out jackets as they are finished instead of all at once. Everything else is ready and waiting to ship. When jackets are finished packages will go out as soon as possible.
Backers, I HATE MISSING DEADLINES WITH A PASSION. It literally makes me sick. Sadly, this seems to be part of this process with every new product and factory, despite our best efforts. Regardless we will be doing somethings differently in the future to further streamline the process.
I was really bummed and worried about telling you; and disappointing you. Then I thought about what we are doing here, and how we are doing it, and all the effort and quality that is going into the McCoy and I couldn't be prouder. We haven't cut corners, and if we are doing things the hard way, at least it's our way, putting doing it right, before doing it fast.
You are living this adventure along with us. Thanks for being there and thank you for your patience.
Enjoy the ride,
Dave
P.S. I am always amazed at the support and love of our backers. If you have messaged us with words of encouragement. Thank you!
P.S.S. A pre-scheduled email accidentally went out after we found out about the production delay. That email said McCoys were shipping and in stock. Please disregard that email, until we are in stock, at that time, re-regard it. Thanks.
McCoy Progress | Address Changes?

Dear McBacksters,
The McCoy Jacket is still ON SCHEDULE!
From what I see and hear at the factory, all jackets will ship this month. Jackets will be finished by gender, color and length. First to go out will be Men's Brown, followed by Men's Black, followed by both women's colors. All jackets requiring extensions will ship out after women's regular length.
Yes, this means you might have your jacket sooner, but all jackets should ship by March 31st. I was riding in my sample the other day and opened up the vents and two-way zipper, it vents very well. Although it isn't exactly blistering in LA right now, I think everyone will be able to use this jacket this season for sure!
If you have moved or want your shipping address changed for any reason, please send your name and new address to [email protected] DO NOT DELAY!
Thank You All For The Ride!
As we get closer to finishing the McCoy, I can't help but reflect on the experience. Launching this Jacket has pushed us, made us grow as a company and individuals. Andrew and I, and Tobacco are different today, better, because of the support you gave this Jacket.
Less than 200 McCoy's remain!
As you know, we ended with over 500 backers on Kickstarter, because of your enthusiasm and word of mouth, we pre-sold around 250 more McCoys after the Kickstarter. In order to carry some inventory for exchanges we had to stop pre-sales and price the remaining McCoy's at full retail, $697! When did you get in? No matter when you backed, we are thrilled that you got such a good price and saved hundreds on this epic jacket.
If you have friends on the fence, remind them that this is more than a jacket you wear when riding, this is a catch-all, go-to jacket that will stand out, and never go out of style. You will get tons of use out of this thing, and tons of value. A friend put it this way. If you ride 700 miles in the McCoy, that's $1 per mile. How many thousands of miles will you put on yours over the years?
Cheers friends, thanks again for helping the McCoy become a reality.

Dear Tobacksters, (still a thing, right?)
WE ARE ON TRACK FOR DELIVERY LATER THIS MONTH!
Thank you all for your patience. As they say, good things come to those who wait.
Women's Jackets being bundled, linings start to be sewn.
Men's Black sleeve lining being cut.
We've been working around the clock to get these knocked out for you guys. The quality is looking top notch and even though it took a while, I'm really glad we waited to get the right team together.
There is a chance that we will be able to start sending jackets out as they are finished. Which means, depending on your size/color/gender combo you may get your jacket sooner, but I'm told everything should be able to ship before the end of the month.
Stay tuned to our Instagram for more mini updates! And while you wait... enjoy this...
Sneak preview of our latest video
We all know those drivers... distracted, tired, dangerous; and worst of all, they blame everyone else for their crappy handling habits. Well, we decided to give those bad driving buffoons a video of their own.
Follow our Instagram to get all the McCoy Mini-Updates. That is where you will get all the latest info on the production progress dating way back.
We have some really cool stuff cooking in the Tobacco kitchen, so stay tuned. The Hustle Duffle and our belts are in stock and making noise. Be sure to check them out.
I want to thank everyone for their support and patience. Thanks to everyone who came by our booth at The 1 Moto Show, in Portland, or the various IMS shows we have been attending, to offer us kind words and encouragement. You make this company possible and we really do appreciate all of you.
